Submitted by sam from worthing 11 June 2009
Man's food...delicious, served with garlic bread and slices of beef tomatoes.
Ingredients
4 beef steaks (Rump).,4 tbspn whisky/brandy.,2 tbsp soy sauce.,1 tbsp dark muscavado sugar (any brown sugar).,pepper.,sprig of parsley (for garnish).
Method
Place the meat in a shallow dish. Combine the whisky or brandy, soy sauce, sugar and pepper to taste in a bowl, stir until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the mixture over the steaks, cover and marinate for at least 2 hours. BBQ on the hottest part of BBQ searing the meat for 2 mins each side, then move the meat to a cooler part of the BBQ and cook for a further 4-10 mins each side - depending on how you like your steaks done. Very quickly lay the slices of tomoato on the BBQ and grill for no more than 1-2 mins.Recipe images are not uploaded yet.
