Bisert Potato Pancakes
The pancakes when cooked can be placed on a baking tray and kept warm in a low oven. Serve with butter and soft brown sugar or golden syrup. These pancakes are also served in Germany as a side dish with bacon or ham and apple sauce.
Method1 Mix the potatoes and onion together into a large mixing bowl.
2 Add flour, salt, pepper.
3 Mix thoroughly.
4 Make a well.
5 Add the eggs.
6 Using a wooden spoon stir, gathering the flour in gently.
7 Heat a frying pan on the hob.
8 Lightly oil the frying pan.
9 Drop the batter in the frying pan using a tablespoon. 10 Spread batter thinly with a pallette knife or spatula.
11 Bake on each side until light brown and slightly crisp.
