Whilst it looks complictaed this dish is straightforward once you assmble the ingredients together. You need to make the tandoori chicken first then onto the butter chicken recipe.
This dish is the presumed origin of Chicken Tikka Masala - it is basically chicken tikka pieces with a rich tomato sauce. The chicken can be prepared in advance and can used for other curry dishes.

Serves 4-6 depending on portion sizes. You can leave this to marinade over night, or just while your preparing everything else.
My first attempt at cooking with butterbeans, and I was plesantly surprised at their texture. They do soak up flavours really well too. Thanks to Krishnamurti for reminding me about Bagpuss - more butterbeans!
This is my favourite chicken dish cooked in a slow cooker. I have a family size cooker, so the quantities I use serve approx 6 servings, so make sure you buy a chicken that will fit your cooker.
