christmas pudding

225g breadcrumbs,225g currants,225g raisins,225g sultanas,225g suet,225 g demerara sugar,160g sr flour,2 eggs beaten,1 grated carrot,1 grated apple,3 desrtspoons rum or brandy,milk if required[if mixture is very stiff]


mix the ingredients together and place into steam proof basins.
Steam 6 hours per pudding or in pressure cooker 30 mins steaming and 3 hours at H pressure.
reheat 30/60 mins
