If you want only make the dulce de leche, only make the first part, or make the ice cream .Other recipes are with the tin boiled in a pot but is most complicated, if you don't have dulce de leche I prefer this sistem. Careful with the cook of the condensed milk.To cook I prefer a wooden large spoon.

2 tins sweetened condensed milk,3 cups whipping cream ,1 cup of milk,2 teaspoon vainilla extract, dash of salt

In a heavy bottomed pan over medium heat, cook condensed milk until golden brown in colour, stirring constantly for about 15 minutes. The milk will turn thicker as it cooks, but constant stirring wiil ensure an even colour.
Remove condensed milk from heat and whisk in cream and milk a little at a time, being careful for steam that comes off the hot caramel milk when cream is added.
Add salt. Stir in vainilla extract and cool mix completely.

Put de ice cream on a extend glass pirex and freeze 1 hour, to take out and whip slowly and again to the freezer 1 hour more, will be OK, you may to serve with pieces of
chocolate or chocolate sauce.
