Baked Chocolate Pudding Cake
This is one of those 'throw it together' miracle puddings, great for a quick family pudding & it serves 6. My kids love it. Creates a pudding top, & choc sauce underneath. Serve with vanilla ice-cream or pouring cream.
Method1. Preheat oven to 180°C. You need a large ovenproof container minimum 1.5 litres. 2. Combine the flour, sugar and cocoa powder in a medium bowl.Make a well in the centre. Add the milk, butter and egg and mix until well combined. Pour into the dish and smooth the surface. 3. To make the chocolate sauce, mix the brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle over the pudding mixture in the dish and dot with the butter. Gently pour the boiling water over the cocoa mixture. 4. Bake in oven for 40-45 minutes or until a cake-like top forms and a skewer inserted halfway into the centre comes out clean. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool slightly.
