Baked Apples with Mincemeat

Submitted by Francisca 11 June 2009

Serve hot with cream and a bit of cinnamon if you like. You can decorate each dish with some mint leaves.

4 large cooking apples,100g Mincemeat,1 tablespoon brandy,15g butter,

Make a hole in each apple removing the core. Make a superficial cut in the skin all around so that it doesn't burst while cooking. Fill the hole till halfway with mincemeat, pour in a bit of brandy and top with the remaining mincemeat. Put the apples in agreased oven dish and pour a bit of water in the base of the dish. Put a small knob of butter on the top of each apple and bake till the apples are golden brown.
