this recipe makes 2 puddings cooked in 1 pint pudding basins( cooked 1 at a time) can be cooked over night( an extra hour or so wont hurt them)but will darken them.

This has an unusually velvety texture. I have also successfully turned this into strawberry icecream by omitting the spices and adding about 1 lb pureed strawberries. I've also made it with maple syrup, again omitting the spices.

This is a very adult orientated cheese cake, although all three of my grandchildren like it. The tub of Mascapone is the standard 250g one that one sees in all the supermarkets and delies.
