Tip flour, cinnamon, butter,sugar,honey and eggs into a large mixing bowl. Mash the bananas and chop the dates (kitchen scissors is easiest for this) add this to the bowl. Beat until well blended.
Spoon into the prepared tin. Scatter over the walnut pieces.
Bake for 1 hour.

Date Walnut and Honey Cake

Lovely warm When cooled wrap well in greaseproof paper
Ingredients
225g Sr flour,,half tsp ground cinnamon,,175g softened butter,,100g light muscavado sugar,,3 tbls clear honey,,2 eggs (i used large ones),,2 mediumripe bananas about 250g total weight with their skin on,,100g stoned dates,,50g pack walnut pieces
Method
Pre-heat oven to 160C or 140C if your oven is fan assisted. Line a 2lb loaf tin grease the tin and paper.Tip flour, cinnamon, butter,sugar,honey and eggs into a large mixing bowl. Mash the bananas and chop the dates (kitchen scissors is easiest for this) add this to the bowl. Beat until well blended.
Spoon into the prepared tin. Scatter over the walnut pieces.
Bake for 1 hour.
