Christmas Shortbread

This is something I bake each Christmas,it was my grandmas

recipe and goes down well with all the family.



150 gr Plain Flour,50 gr Ground Almonds,100 grs softened butter,

75gr Caster sugar,pinch salt,200 grs mincemeat.


Put all ingredients except the mincemeat in a bowl and mix

together.Divide into two and roll out one circle on a floured board,

Spread over the mincemeat,damped the edges and place the second circle on top,crimp together ,prick and brush with beaten egg or milk.Bake for 30 minutes in a 350of/18ooc/Gas Mark 4.Cool on a wire rack.Cuts into 8 pieces.
