Chocolate Brownie cake
Good Food recipe which is delicious
175g caster sugar,
75g brown or muscovado sugar,
125g plain/milk chocolate,
1 tbsp golden syrup,
2 eggs beaten,
1tsp vanilla extract,
100g plain flour,
½tsp baking powder,
2tbsp cocoa powder,
Heat oven to 160C, grease and line a 8 square cake tin.
Place butter, sugars,chocolate and syrup into a bowl and gently microwave until smooth and lump free. Leave to cool.
Break eggs and beat until light and frothy. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder and cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.
Put mixture into the tin and bake for 26-27mins.
Remove and leave to cool for 30mins before cutting into squares.
