Chocolate Fudge Cake
I cover the entire cake with chocolate ganache, very decadent.... Small portions!! The photo I posted on GQ's site is topped with whipped cream 'laced' with Frangelico Liqueur...
MethodOven to 190°C. Melt chocolate and butter in Bain Marie or the microwave on low heat. Take off heat and mix sugar with a wooden spoon. Leave to cool a little, then add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly with wooden spoon, then add flour, and mix. Place in the cake tin (20cm diameter) and cook for 20-25 minutes. The centre is still very soft, this is quite normal. Place on cooling tray till cold. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, refrigerate, and take it out about an hour prior to serving the next day.
