Chocolate Banana Bread

This needs no butter, nothing. Lovely with a mug of tea on a cold day.



*2 cups AP Flour ,*1/2 tsp salt ,* 1 tsp baking soda ,*1 stick butter (4 oz) ,*1 cup Sugar 2 eggs - beaten ,*1c or 3 medium mashed bananas ,* 1/2 cup buttermilk or regular milk ,* 3/4 -1 cup choc chips or chunks (originally was nuts)


1. Mix the first three ingredients together.
2 Cream the butter and sugar then add the eggs, one at a time.
3. Add the bananas to the milk then mix in the dry ingredients, then combine with the butter/sugar/egg mixture.
4. Pour into a greased ( or greased & floured - if you're feeling up to the extra effort) 9x5 loaf tin.
5. Bake at 350F x 70minutes.
