Cream butter and sugar until smooth
Sieve Flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt into seperate bowl
Add raisins and nuts
Beat egg and milk and beat into butter mixture
Fold in flour mixture
Peel bananas and mash with fork
Add vanilla essence and stir them into the main mixture
Grease and line a 1 pint loaf tin
Pour in mixture and smooth top
Bake for one hour at 180 c or until skewer comes out clean
Turn out on rack

Great hot or cold!
Ingredients
4oz butter or margarine,3oz caster sugar,30z brown sugar,1 egg,8oz wholemeal flour,2 tsp baking powder,pinch salt,pinch nutmeg,1 tsp vanilla essence,2 large bananas,3oz raisins,3oz chopped walnuts,2 tablespoons milk
Method
