Apple and Cinnamon Filo Tartlets

serve the tartlets warm, with a tbsp. of greek yoghurt on each.



6 filo pastry sheets measuring at least 9 and a half x 9 and a half ins.,1 oz unsalted butter melted,2 dessert apples halved cored and thinly sliced,2 tbsp. caster sugar,half a tsp. ground cinnamon


(1) heat oven to gas mk. 6.
Lay a sheet of pastry on to work surface. brush with a little melted butter, then lay another sheet on top, continue brushing with butter and layering until all 6 filo sheets are stacked on top of each other. Using a 4 and half inch saucer as a guide,cut out four pastry round with a sharp knife.
(2) Brush each pastry round with remaining butter and place them on a baking sheet. Arrange the apple slices on the pastry rounds, fanning them out from the centre
(3) dust with sugar and cinnamon, bake for 20 mins or until pastry is golden and the apples tender.
