Fried Fennel

with almost anything, its up to you.
Ingredients
1 fennel root sliced, 2 ozs flour, 1 egg, 4 fl. ozs milk, salt/ pepper, oil for deep frying
Method
push the fennel slices out into rings. Beat the flour, egg and milk to a smooth batter and season to taste. Dip fennel rings into batter and deep fry, a few at a time, for 2-3 mins, or till crisp and golden brown.Drain on kitchen towel and serve hot.
