Easy Indian Cauliflower

MethodBreak the cauliflower into florets and cut the large pieces in half to make them evenly sized. Steam the cauliflower in a steamer or it can be boiled instead if you have no way of steaming. When cauliflower is almost cooked remove from saucepan and drain. Heat oil in a pan or wok and add the salt, pepper, turmeric and chili powder. Cook for a few seconds but be careful not to burn the spices. Add the cauliflower florets and toss until the the spices are evenly distributed. Cook over a low heat, stirring often to prevent sticking. Please note that the turmeric and red chili powder amounts can be altered to suit the size of the head of cauliflower and individual tastes. This is great even when served with non-Indian main courses and of course goes very well with any type of curry and rice.
