Creamy pepper sauce

This sauce is lovely with steak. I often add mushrooms and a dash of brandy and this is lovely with pork steaks and chicken as well. I shuld also point out that this is something that Mum used to do before I get in trouble for nicking another of her recipes!!



1 onion very finely chopped...,green peppercorns (as many as you want but proabably a good dessertspoon minimum)...,1 clove garlic crushed...,single cream (probably 1/2 pint would do enough sauce for 4)...,


Gently sautee the onion in a little butter, add the crushed garlic and peppercorns (I use green - in brine if I can find them as they are less firey). Add the cream and simmer till warmed through.
