Classic Chilli Sauce
Submitted by 11 June 2009
This sauce is perfect for burgers, chicken sandwiches and other healthier home made fast food options. It would also be a great dipping sauce for chips or chicken nuggets as it is extremely low in fat, so it isn't such a guilty pleasure.
Ingredients
6 fresh tomatoes,2 onions,2 cloves of garlic,1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar,200ml of vegetable stock,2 teaspoons chilli flakes,1 tablespoon of tomato purée,
Method
Finely chop the onions, garlic and tomatoes and add to a saucepan with all the other ingredients. Slowly bring to the boil then simmer for about 15 minuets, stirring frequently to help break up the tomatoes. Pass through a sieve then allow to cool in the fridge in a sealed container.Recipe images are not uploaded yet.
