Best Cheese Sauce

Perfect for Macaroni Cheese or Cauliflower Cheese. Can be frozen or made in advance (though this will give a slightly grainy texture).



- 50g butter,- 40g plain flour,- 1tsp dried mustard,- 425ml milk,- 250g block of cheese grated,- half carrot,- 4 cloves,- half small onion (don't bother to peel),- large tsp mustard seeds,- large tsp pepper corns,- tsp chil


- stud the onion with the cloves and place in microwave proof jug.
- Put mustard seeds, carrot, pepper corns, and chili flakes into the microwave proof jug.
- Add milk to jug and heat in microwave for 4ish mins until milk is warmed through. Be c
