BBQ Marinade
Submitted by Lynda Down Under 11 June 2009
Note: If you aren't keen on ginger or garlic then leave them out. The soy and honeysugar tenderises and flavours the meat.
Ingredients
Soy Sauce ( light or dark),Honey (or Caster Sugar),Fresh Ginger (chopped finely),Fresh Garlic (crushed),Chinese Five Spice (optional but adds a savoury depth)
Method
Mix the ingredients in a freezer bag and add prepared meat, I generally use chicken or pork but have experimented with lamb and beef sucessfully. Pop the bag of marinated meat in the fridge overnight. Next day I allow the meat to come to room temperature (over here it doesn't take long!) and then onto the BBQ grill or plate.Recipe images are not uploaded yet.
