Had this the same day we enjoyed the German potato salad. Really good.
Last summer I was lucky enough to spend a week cooking in France for Lord and Lady Pearson of Rannoch and their family. They loved this so much they asked me to cook it again a few days later. Serves 8

This was one of the results from an impromptu cook-a-long that Syl, Bramblejelly Queen and I got involved in!
This recipe was concocted by three Delia site members so I don't claim it as my own! Makes about two 8oz jars.
Always make it when I need to come up with a quick, tasty salad dressing!
1c chicken stock 12 c dry white wine 4c cut up carrots 12c sliced shallots 2 garlic clove minced 1 tsppeeled grated fresh ginger pinch curry powder salt 1tsp lemon juice zest from lemon 12 tblsp sugar 1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tblsp white wine.
