Could you please help me with a problem I have with baking Delia’s xmas cake after baking for the time said in recipe and a skewer inserted comes out clean the bottom is sticky and almost wet it does not dry even with leaving it on a cooling rack to go cold when cut at xmas it is more like pudding then cake it does not cut well at all. Can you tell me what I am Doing wrong? I keep trying but result is always the same. xmas is coming again and I really want this cake to work.
