Hi there, new to this site, watched Delia for years as a youngster with my mother, but anyway, I like cooking at home and have always struggled with Yorkshire puddings,
Tried delias last night, and for some reason didn't rise, and was also thick and stodgy, I did everything that was in the recipe and method, what could of possibly gone wrong. Although they tasted very nice they just weren't right.
Please help. Or advise
Re: Irish Whiskey Christmas Cake p 140 how to Cook Bk. One
Cake tin....silicone paper (parchment) to sit 4" deep....Does this mean I need a 4" side on the pan itself or is the 4" simply the measure of the parchment paper. I can only locate a tin 3" deep. What do you suggest? thanks, Bridget in Vancouver
I made the apricot slice from the cake book but when it was cooked it was all crumbly and couldn't be eaten as a slice, nice with yogurt or custard - any ideas what I could have done wrong? I measured carefully.
Can I use duck eggs and hens eggs in the same fruit cake recipe please?
