Re-using jam jars
Hi there,
I have just made some preserves out of the Delia's Christmas cooking book. I made the Spiced Tangerines, the Beetroots and Shallots and the Christmas Chutney. I have used some old jars (Bonne Maman, Rose's Marmalade, Bertolli, M&S jam). I have no idea how old they are but I don't think they are very old. The lids look fine and I have washed them in the dishwasher and sterilised them a couple of times in the oven. Will this be okay? The lids are metal twist off lids that they came with originally.

Mince Pies had soggy bottoms!
I had some uncooked mince pies in the freezer, got them out defrosted them and cooked them. When we came to eat the the bottoms of some were soggy why? Not all but some can not work this out. I have always put uncooked mince pies in the freezer and defrosted and cooked them but this time......?
