Creole Christmas Cake - 1st Timer
Never made a Christmas cake, how hard can it be right?!
I am replacing raisins, currants/sultanas with I'm thinking all or some of the following dried fruits - cherries, pineapple, apricots, cranberries, dates, figs. Which would be best of just chuck them all in the pre soak?
Also I'm using spiced rum rather than a dark rum, assume this is ok and a matter of taste!

How long would they take to bake, please?

Dairy Free béchamel sauce
Hello
I’d like to make the seafood lasagne for someone who is dairy free. I’m happy about a substitute for the butter in the bechamel, but am unsure about which plant based milk would be suitable with fish. My guess would be oat milk or coconut milk, as soya is strong and almond may be too sweet with fish. I would very much appreciate your advice.
