Questions
Instant Pot Cooking
Can you recommend any of Delia’s recipes that would be suitable for an Instant pot? Ideally mains not puddings.
In light of the rising energy bill crisis I’m trying to move away from using an oven! The Instant Pot is far more economical as a way to prepare food. I’m only cooking for one or two people at a time.
Flat Yorkshire pudding!
Hi Lindsay
My Yorkshire puddings didn’t rise they came out flat. I used plain flour, eggs, salt, milk and water as per the recipe and hot oil
Making scone dough ahead!
As Buttermilk Scones always taste better baked on the day, can the dough be made in advance and stored? If so, how long in advance can the dough be made and how best to store it. Also, is it best stored as dough or already shaped into individual scones.
Can I freeze?
Can this sauce be frozen or how long would it keep in a sealed jar?
Microwave Cooking
Would it be possible to publish some recipes that just use a microwave or combi oven / microwave +grill ? . The cost of using an oven is going to get horrendous and many will not be able to use their oven . I am struggling to find any cake recipes on line that use these methods other than a microwave mug cake .
Winning cake recipe!
It's not a question, it's a thank you! I made the Preserved Ginger cake to enter into my local Show in Sandy and was delighted to win first place. The judges commented that it was a good strong ginger taste. and I have to say it really did taste good, the icing really complements the cake and I love the chunks of preserved ginger all through. Easy to make and delicious, I'll definitely be making it again.
