Do you have to make nearer Christmas too as no alcohol to preserve (or feed for the cake).

Weight of the chestnuts in the stuffing
The recipe for 18th century chestnut stuffing specifies 1lb chestnuts cooked and peeled, but please could you advise the weight needed if using vacuum packed, peeled and ready to eat chestnuts? Thanks!!
Using a larger pudding basin
I would like to make Delia’s Christmas Pudding but I only have either a 1 litre or 1.75 litre pudding basin. Would either be ok or do I really need to get the size stated?
About mincemeat Christmas Cake
Hi, this will probably sound stupid but in the Mincemeat Christmas Cake is the jar of Mincemeat in addition to the fruit listed or in place of fruit? Thanks
Does and double batch take double time?
Hi I’ve been making Delia’s Christmas chutney and Saville marmalade for several years . If I were to double up the recipes and cook in one go would I need to double the cooking time too ? Many thanks Carl
