I have been asked to make a christening cake for my nephew for 80 people. I have seen Delias recipe for a 14 inch cake in a square tin what size would this be in a round tin?
Also want to do this with a 2nd tier of lemon sponge what size would your recommend. The decoration is going to be simple.
Hi, I have baked a three tier rich fruit cake for my daughters wedding on Saturday 15th July....I marzipaned three weeks ago and left to dry covered with a clean tea towel in a cool dry place. Can I now put fondand icing on ( four days before) or should I wait til the day before wedding?
Can freeze dried strawberry powder or for that matter any of the freeze dried fruit POWDERS be added directly to the cake batter or has it to be used in the cream filling or as also claimed on web site, made into smoothies etc;
I plan to try out the Hot & Sour Pickled Prawns but am away for a few days prior to the dinner party.
The recipe says to marinade the prawns for at least 48 hours. Would it be ok/safe to leave them marinating while I'm away? It would mean that they marinate for 4 rather than 2 days.
