Casa de la Ermita Jumilla 2006 Rosado (Jumilla, Spain) ROSE

Old-vine rose with strawberry and cherry notes, backed by enticing spice.

JumillacroppedThe Jumilla area is one of the rising stars of Spain. This estate, founded by Pedro Martin in 1999, is known for the deep, rich flavours that it coaxes from its old-vine Monastrell. Densely planted vines bring wonderful concentration to this Rosado (Rosé).
The blend of grape varieties is 90% Monastrell and 10% Garnacha and this bright Rosé delivers strawberry & cherry, backed by enticing spice.

Being a modern, fruit-driven style, its depth and acidity allow it to be served lightly chilled as the apéritif wine, or to complement the herbs and roasted red onions of the chicken.
