The Icehotel

Noreen - I was only thinking of you this morning and hoping that you would be able to take off from Heathrow for your Christmas break. Have a great time and wish you a Very Happy Christmas.

Thanks!

Dottie, but it's not looking good. My stepdaughter is in Paris and was due to come back on Tuesday after work, they have just announced that passengers shouldn't turn up if not necessary (silly thing to say....), it's not good at Gare du Nord. Our flight on Wednesday is due to take off from Terminal 3 - one of the most affected terminals....

Think we might be reverting to Plan B when we form it!

Fingers crossed...

for you too, Nor. We saw pictures of Heathrow on the news last night and it wasn't looking too good!
People who are trying to get from Oz to Europe seem to be stuck in Singapore, Bangkok or some other Asian airport, waiting to be allowed to land over there.

Good luck with the IceHotel and have a great Christmas anyway, if you have to use 'plan B'. Hope it's a good one!!!

The Icehotel...

Flight has been cancelled. Plan B it is then.......

Cancelled Holiday

What disappointing news, Noreen. Let's hope you can make up for it some other time.

The Icehotel

Oh blast. The ultimate irony is that you can't make it to the Icehotel because our runways are frozen.

Icehotel Sweden

My husband and I celebrated my 50th birthday at the Icehotel in Sweden 9 years ago. Great fun. They were having a warm spell when we were there - about 30 degrees F. You'll be cozy at night - the ice beds are covered with raindeer pelts and the sleeping bags are toasty. We went for a dogcled ride and lunch before we checked in. Hve fun!

Liz from Cumbria

So, what was plan B Nor...

Hopefully you managed to enjoy yourselves anyway without too much stress in finding dinner ingredients?

So what was plan b

Liz. We came up to Norfolk, it was a bit of a rush getting all the shopping done in a day, but managed it and we had a good time.

My husband isn't very well so it's been a bit like the Norfolk Ward here!

Hope the O/H is better now and that you enjoyed Christmas and new year.

Much better, thank you for asking!
