Strawberries and nets

" we did not use nets...!"
My ex-neighbour gave up netting the berries as she found so many dead birds caught up in he "Bird-friendly) netting.

Strawberries

Poor little things - I'm very fond of the birds and haven't ever found a dead one in the netting, and rarely a live one either, otherwise I'd avoid using it.

Strawberries

A quick note as I was complaining a while back that the strawberries had been destroyed by the weather - well they survived much better than we thought and now there are plenty again, so it's strawberries with everything.

I have to admit to liking them best with evaporated milk, not cream or ice-cream ... is this wrong?

Strawberries

Botherations, you've just reminded me that I was going to make some mini meringues to have with our strawberries that are now ripening nicely. I prefer a sweet Greek yoghurt with mine... that is really good.

Botherations

"Botherations" - I'm going re-introduce that into my vocabulary. Might try the sweet Greek yog, but will still have the tinned Carnation on standby.

Botherations

;o)) "Botherations and all that goes with it!" is what I usually say.... but only in polite conversation you understand.

You are not on your own Chazza - we also like evaporated milk with ours.
