Leftovers - Roast Beef

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

Leftovers - Roast Beef

How about Beef Olives? This is a recipe I have from my late Mum. Very thin slices of cold beef filled with savoury stuffing, rolled and tied with thin string, browned in a little fat then simmered in thick gravy until very hot - serve with veg and mashed potatoes. Haven't cooked this for ages because we rarely have a joint of beef these days but I remember they were very tasty.

I remember doing those for dinner parties, Dottie, when I was first married. They seemed to be in most of the cook books in those days!
