It's on it's way

That's it, I've ordered it now plus a magnetic case. Bought it from the apple store.
Hope I know what I'm doing and can get it working.

Apple

I've found that Apple are always very helpful whenever you call in at one of their stores and will solve any problems you may have.

Apple have a phone support service - free for one year after buying the gadget!!
You can phone them with any queries, however simple they may seem. They'll talk you through it until you can get it to work!! I've always found them very helpful:)

Meant to add there is a mini iPad user guide you can download in PDF format - Google to get the website.
Very handy if you believe in reading the instructions - I always do!!

Ok I'll try to download the guide and read it before it arrives. Thanks.

Instructions

I'm terrible, never read instructions... I just press it and see. But they really are very easy to use (I think you'll be surprised) and so much faster to boot up than a PC (as long as you don't want to type reams).

download

Couldn't download the guide, OH tried but I think it was taking too long :o( I don't know anything about downloading so now I will wait till it gets here and go from there. I was told that the worst thing that I could do to it was drop it so I will press a few bottons and hope for the best.

Mini iPad

I think my daughter must have been told the same thing. She is very accident prone and so her husband insisted her cover be like a tractor tyre.... made of thick rubber with a tread on it!! I think it would bounce if she dropped it. Makes it very cumbersome in my humble opinion. But at least it's lasted a good few years. Touch wood.

Pressing buttons and 'playing' with it is probably the best - not dropping it, of course:)

It's very 'user friendly' and there are lots of Apps you can download to make it easier. You can see them in the App Store app - already on the iPad - or on iTunes on your computer.

Have Fun!!

I pad

I have had it a few weeks now and although I don't know it all and there is a lot to learn I am getting on better then I thought I would.
Hardly use the computer now, only for long e- mails .
it takes really good photos and I can e- mail them something which wasn't easy for me on the computer , I think they will soon get fed up with me .
So I think I made the right decision in buying one but sometimes I am told by one or other of my kids to leave it at home when visiting them or we all sit there pressing away on our pads/phones :0)

Violet Eyes Challenge

Hi,
Violet Eyes, why not set up a 'Dropbox'...you can invite your family and friends to it. Load it up with pics and links that they may find interesting, Recipes, gardening tips, pretty pic's etc.... They can also pop stuff in that you may like and want to share... Its very easy.

Go on you can do it!....investigate!

Do not download 'Candy Crush' onto your mini ipad...you will lose hours of your life!!

Have fun maggiex
