Birthday present

Dear James, did you not get any happiness pills for your birthday? I challenge you to say one nice thing. I think we are aware of some of your hates.
Rubber gloves, dish-washing, Black Forest Gateau, .......................

James, crikey, I didn't mean to upset you or anything personal. I believe that everything I said is accepted by all sectors of the market, and Delia herself. I think she's absolutely right to do what she plans. TV has become more and more downmarket entertainment. The few progs we watch we record with the all bells and whistles Skybox and skip over the ads at 32x speed!

I do attend adult education courses, around one every couple of years, and of course I have to pay for the course and the petrol, and so on. If someone of the standing and talent of Delia would do me an online cookery course, distance-learning, then I'd enrol immediately. I'm a really good cook for some things and dreadful at others and anyway, it's nice to learn. If Delia would come and give a course at my local adult ed centre then that would be even better...but I don't suppose she will. So if it is an online course then all we are discussing is the platform. I'm 'lucky', 'rich', 'fortunate' or whatever you want to call it to be able to use most platforms. In the kitchen, for me, that'd be iPad. Others might prefer other platforms. But hey!, as you said this isn't rocket science and if Delia's team could make the course on a range of platforms that'd be good for everyone?

Don't let's fall out over it. I don't think I was talking 'cr ap' and in any case I always like to listen to another point of view. I like French mustard, you like English. No problem. Both jars are on the table and choose whichever you like and there's no need to abuse anyone whose choice isn't the same as your own.

Well said.

James could perhaps study an online course in tact and diplomacy ;-)

Saffy, I agree.

James, I thought you wanted a lively, chatty site.
That kind of abuse makes people stop posting!

Oh James

So nice to see you are as bolshy, dogmatic and rude as ever.

James

Get a life, stop being rude, listen to people's opinions - and - perhaps when someone posts a question - don't just answer 'pointless' - seriously, it is so rude. And as you can see it is not just me saying it.
