I'm glad you used up your sprouts! Vegetables are so easy to throw away but they are also very easy to jazz up. You could easily just make some soup for lunch.

That pasta dish you made sounds very tasty! You are brave to eat yoghurts that have past their sell by dates but I guess it's good to get into that mind set. If we all did that then there would be less waste.

Another way to use any veg that is looking tired is to make soup .
So may option with soup, & so filling.

A Mary Berry Tip

I think she put this in my Aga manual she wrote... So I save my butter papers and put them over the breast of a whole chicken when you're roasting it. It works so well... already buttered, greaseproofed and also butter papers often have have two layers and the top layer has a slight foil texture and helps to stop it drying out. I just remove the paper 10 minutes before the end of cooking.
