Yummy

" Gerry, when I was having Chemo, I had a Mackeson (sp) a day, (bit sweeter than Guinness), For the iron levels."
So glad the chemo treatment was successful.
It's only the Guinness Original in bottles that I like, now it's made with Liffey water in Dublin.

Thanks Gerry, I think Guinness is an acquired taste, Mackeson too come to that...I acquired it at a very early age, when I used to stay with my Nanny and Grandad on a Friday night, he used to go and play billiards at the local Conservative club and bring us back a bottle of Mackies and a packet of Nibbits (anyone remember those ?) so I used to have an egg cup full each Friday ? I'm sure that's why I grew up big and strong :)

Yummy again

Long time ago Guinness used to be given to new mothers in maternity units in hospitals.

Ideas for Breakfast

What about eggy bread, dusted with sugar & served with a sweetened fruit puree or fruit compote? Drizzled with honey?

And a proper hot chocolate to go with it? Made with cream?

Calorie overload if OH can face anything that sweet?

Or pancakes with syrup and fruit? Or with chocolate spread?
