Just finished "Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe", by Fannie Flagg. It was also made into a film starring Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy. I found it a thoroughly entertaining comic novel.

The Shadow Of The Wind Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Not my usual type of book but really enjoyed it. Very interesting characters.
I too have read this book, a long time ago and enjoyed it. Might re-read it on hols....
