50 Shades...

this morning i saw something about this book on the tv - they were calling it housewife porn.

so i had to see if it was on kindle.

as i had to see what all the fuss was about - not started it yet (only downloaded half an hour ago lol).

they didn;t say it was a trilogy!

hope it worth the hype.

hadn't even noticed this thread either! been living under a rock for a few days.

JAMES

50 Shades.

It was not written as a book, its a blog from the net.

Sam. 50 Shades

Is so not worth the hype. I thought it was badly written, full of repetition, how many times does she say #Oh my!#? And if she mentions her Inner Goddess once, she mentions it hundreds of times!

Oh and whatever you do, don't bite your lip or roll your eyes.....

50 shades.....

book 1 - well.......
book 2 - welll............
book 3 - wellll...............

yes ALL 3!!!!!! every time hubby came out to see me - he said whats christain done now - and this set of books are now known as the "phroars its getting hot in here books".

but, i should have listened to nor!

but i had to read for myself given all the hype. read if curiosity has you - but your really not missing much - except a written diary type style book, filthy bridget jones, S & M type stuff - very loose plot - not recommending to my Mum, for sure.

Elpe

50 Shades.........

Just finished the first one, on Kindle of course, but oh my (!) the ending is weak. When it says End of Part One you know they'll get back together. I wish someone would just tell me briefly what happens next so I can move on to other reading.

50 Shades... Tell me the end

Elpe - I refuse to buy 2 and 3, no matter how cheap it is on Kindle!

Will someone tell me the end? Just a quick precis would be great.

50 shades.......

Just back from Mull where I read book one of the three. Borrowed it from DIL and will read book two when her mum is finished. And her name is...........Mrs Robinson!!!!!!!!!
Did enjoy the book but didn't regard it as porn. I did notice that for all it's hype etc I didn't regard it as "obscene". I wonder do we get to the reason for C's hang-ups. So far I blame his mother!

50 shades. But has anyone also read ...

Check out the free book on Kindle: 50 Shades of Alice in Wonderland.

Made me smile. Also very graphic (far more so in some respects than the original 50 shades) but I thought it was well done, porno parody ... very clever!

And Nor - the 2nd & 3rd volumes of 50 shades are better than the 1st. Less rumpy pumpy, much better for it. Still an unbelieveable storyline mind you, but nevertheless easy to read.

50 Shades

OK, I have only read the 40 free pages of this book on-line. But Really is it not just a re-run of the Molly Parkin books of the 70's ?

And the real question is "has it sparked up your love life" but will anyone be brave enough to answer honestly ???

50 Shades.........

Just spotted this thread again. I finished the trilogy and fortunately there was a bit more of a plot and some intrigue to keep me going. Amazing what some people read on their Kindles while on Eurostar!

50 shades ...

If you liked that Elpe, I am advised that the Crossfire trilogy is better, though I haven't bothered (yet).

The first is called Bared to You by Sylvia Day. The premise is apparently similar but supposed to be better ... cost about £3 for Kindle.

If you do buy it & it is any good, let me know?!?
