Not rocket science. Get a screwdriver and take the lid off. Change the bulb. Just be really careful about putting it all back so it looks and feels right.Microwaved food is totally safe. Don't confuse non-ionising radiation (light, heat, microwaves) with ionising (alpha, beta, gamma rays/particles).
I contacted Panasonic who gave me the details of my nearest repairer. The cost was £35 if they came or £5 + bulb if I took it to them. Only 20 mins drive away so took it and they replaced bulb (took all casing off so my mind at rest that it was done by them)Charge- £5 + bulb £7-50p. It was a special Panasonic bulb. I happy with the result as I had microwave for about 6 years with no other problem. Thankyou alltootsie
