I remember The Singing Ringing Tree, Belle & Sebastien, White Horses, Pogle's Wood - Pippin & Tog. The Herbs were absolutely brilliant! Vision On was a must & I was definitely a Blue Peter girl, not a Magpie viewer. But I hated Scooby Doo, chiefly because my brother loved it!
None as I never looked at any but my favourite radio programmes were "Children's Hour" and "Ovaltenees" but you are all probably too young to remember these?
Didn't have TV till I was a teenager but I loved Black Beauty which was shown in the early '70s. And I had to watch Dr Who in the sixties as my younger sister was a devoted fan.
We had a television when I was 5, the Queens Coronation seemed to spur my parents into buying one. Picture Book, Noddy and Big Ears, Andy Pandy, Rag, Tag and Bobtail, The Wooden Tops, Prudence the Kitten, Sooty & Sweep, Muffin the Mule, Lone Ranger, Rin Tin Tin, Popeye, Flintstones where all on when I was little. Before that Listen with Mother on the radio every afternoon at 2 o'clock...or was it 2:30 pm? I used to sit in the corner underneath the radio and wait for it to come on. I even listened to Woman's Hour afterward, but I think I was really having a nap cuddled up on Mum's lap.
I loved all the Westerns - The Lone Ranger, Rin Tin Tin, Champion the Wonder Horse, Fury, The Range Rider and so on. Honey, I used to enjoy Listen with Mother too - I think it was on at 1.45 every weekday afternoon and Dottie, I used to listen to The Ovaltineys every Sunday.
The Appleyards and The Grove Family!! The Potter's Wheel for intervals, Macdonald Hobley and Sylvia Peters. Let's not forget What's My Line and Crackerjack!! How old am I? We had a tv for the coronation.

Was only thinking today how we used to listen on the "wireless" to 2 way family favourites with Jean Metcalf and Bill Crozier before Sunday lunch and then The Clithero (sp) Kid afterwards. Simple pleasures.Showing my age now!

More recently (still over 20 yrs mind) I did like Captain Pugwash, Mr Ben and what was it - The Omega something?? All sci-fi & writst watches that transported you. And Lizzie Dripping!

We didn't get a tv until I was about 13 - my parents 'spur' was wanting to see David Frost's satire show. Can't remember what it was called, but we all enjoyed it.Never got to see kid's stuff!
We didn't have a television until I was 10. I can remember watching the coronation on a neighbour's television. I listened to Children's Hour and Listen with Mother. My mum listened to Mrs Dales' Diary and Worker's Playtime. When we did have a television I remember Blue Peter. I saw The Beatles for the first time on Blue Peter, though this sounds unlikely.
Pinky and Perky, The Woodentops, The Tellygoons, The Flowerpot Men, Noggin, Tin Tin, Magic Roundabout, Muffin the Mule, Dr. Who, The Wombles (can still sing the song!) and something called 'Klangers'?? is that right
Gosh, this is taking me back! I remember the Singing Ringing Tree too, and the Woodentops ('sawdust and hay for dinner today!', Andy Pandy, the Flowerpot Men - but my favourite was Robin Hood starring Richard Greene - the one with the theme song that went' Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen' etc.Sarah and Hoppity freaked me out, but I can't remember why. Loved The Magic Roundabout (even though I was a bit old for it), and The Tomorrow People, also Follyfoot (ah, the theme song for that - 'The Lightning Tree' - was great), and Champion the Wonderhorse :)Never liked Pinky and Perky much, but I do remember it - those squeaky voices were annoying!
