A bit snowed in, so ...

Going to make bread and some soup - French onion I thought ... Might also do a spot of baking.

Or I could do some cleaning (groan).

Feel the same about cleaning, queen; but I too am about to start bread and soup (seaweed and lettuce).

Seaweed & lettuce?

I don't have either of those in - but I am intrigued. How did you discover that as a combo?

I'll have to wait until I've made it to tell you.

Boring.....

Don't know what I shall do yet. We were supposed to be going to friends to eat this evening but won't do that now. When I'm bored and stuck indoors I usually turn to cake-making but that's not good because I'm trying to lose some weight.

I'm never, ever bored. So many things to do indoors & I welcome being in the house as it's an excuse not to be out in the garden - esp in freezing weather.

Really nice. Looked a bit muddy so added a handful of frozen peas before whizzing and it's now a pleasant pale green colour.

Soup

Making leek & potato soup , had some leeks to use up .
Also cooking some stuffed mushrooms..
Just made the filling of bacon , onion , & will top them with cheese.
Watching the cricket as I cook.

The easy answer is that the cleaning will always been there. Today's meal won't, lol.
Made French onion soup a couple of weeks ago - the real one - too much onion for me so will lessen that quantity next time. It's the French bread crouton with grated cheese on floating on the top that makes it magical.

We have snow but we are not snowed in, we escaped the worst of it. However, we don't feel like going far as more is threatened. I am cleaning out cupboards, a horrible job but I feel very virtuous when I look at my nice clean cupboards. I always get these jobs done this time of year because I am stuck at home more.

Clearing out Cupboards

Stop it Esther- now you're making me feel guilty.

A bit snowed in

I do hate it and don't enjoy it at all if that makes it any better, Essex Girl. Some of my cupboards are a hazard to open at the moment because something immediately falls out!

A bit snowed in

The almost exact spot I live in was featured on the BBC 10 o'clock news last night for its general snow-in-edness!!

The snow is lovely but it took some effort to dig the car out and go for a convivial coffee in the nearest town this morning.

Bit icy so everybody take care!

Snowed in so....

Ditto here. Made soup, goulash, chicken curry and two apple pies this morning.
Esther - you have inspired me - about to clean out the pantry! Will reward myself with a huge glass of Chablis once the ordeal is over.
