I am so glad you enjoyed it Sam, I loved it too.Did you read the very end about the author? Have a look if not...
Thanks ladies, I just bought this book. Looking forward to a good read. And I can already knit!
When I saw the word "knitting" I ordered it on my kindle. It was not what I expected at all. I finished it last night. I did enjoy it (if that is the right word) and was deeply moved by it. Speaking from experience, as Mary said..."A Mother does not expect to lose her child". The book will remain in my mind for some time.
Just got to finish off one of my more gory reads then shall be starting on this. Looking forward to reading it, especially with such glowing references!
Think you'll enjoy Dan Waddell's The Blood Detective and Blood Atonement. Maybe you've read them? Murders investigated via genealogical research.
Haven't read either of those, off to have a look for them.
Love to know what you think of them?
Have just downloaded this to my iPad. Judging by all the recommendations I'm in for a good read. Looking forward to it. It will be my first ebook and I'm so excited!Btw haven't knitted since I was a child.
if you're like me, you'll also discover new (to you) authors and find a whole new wealth of reading material. Hope you enjoy your new experience with ebooks.
Thanks Liz,yes I'm looking forward to seeking out new authors, I generally go back to the tried and tested old faithfuls like Patricia Scanlan,Penny Vincenzi etc. I am just finishing the book I am reading now and then will get straight on to reading my new IBook. Can't wait for more recommendations from Delia forumites.
