I am very, very sad to tell you all that Gerry, one of our long standing members, and great help to all on Delia Online passed away suddenly on June 30th.

She will be terribly missed by us all, and we send our condolences to her husband Tony and her two sons.

I too was very sad to hear Gerry had passed away. It was a short illness and so that's a blessing.

I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting Gerry and Tony at their home, Gooseberry Cottage. They were so welcoming and as you can all imagine, gave us a fabulous lunch and I came away resolved to make my own bread (and have ever since) as her bread and pate (and everything else!) were just incredible and had Gerry's own unique and ingenious tweaks to the recipes. Her recipes are her legacy to us.

She will be sadly missed on this site.

Although I never met Gerry, she felt like a friend, as do so many others on this site. You will be remembered, Gerry - RIP.

Noreen, could you put a link to her recipes or profile on the board.
I managed to find her site by a roundabout route through Google last night. Her recipes are on her website.
She will be missed, it's sad to lose her.
