A couple of cake questions.

I've been watching the cake tutorials (even though I had proudly thought I was fairly accomplished) I've made the sponge cake a few times and have found that I've learnt lots - great tips. I also realised how incredibly easy it is. I can put a quick cake in the oven whilst my children are eating their dinner. They have a slice after dinner and then the rest goes in their packed lunches. (Smug) Oh and I made a birthday cake when my next door neighbour suddenly realised he'd forgotten a birthday cake for his daughter - 4 sponge cakes, cream and berries piled high, pink icing cake glitter, candles . . . . utter happiness (very smug)

So . . . here are my questions
Can I adapt the sponge recipe to make it into a chocolate sponge - again super easy, nothing fancy . . . suitable for packed lunches?

Next question is do you have any recommendations for cakes/biscuits to sell for a school cake sale?

Thank you

Yes

Just add cocoa, indeed any swap for cake I will do,lemon essence in mix to make a lemon drizzle,(with icing sugar and more lemon juice on to. Which sells well at fetes. Fruit cake and gingerbread sells well too.
