FAO Yummy

Hubby made your easy mayonnaise yesterday, brilliant. Added a bit of garlic and made it aloli. Had it with gambas on the BBQ. Thank you, everyone should try it!

Lovely weather here in France 32 at the moment. Hope it's good where you are too.

Magic Mayo

Hey Tubs, glad you enjoyed it, the fun is in the making...the joy in the eating. So flexible and versatile, look at the Samurai Sauce too on my profile, has a bit of a kick, but lovely as an alternative, especially with fries .

Thanks for letting me know, hope it is now a regular for you. x

Magic mayo

Hi Yummy, got some mayo left over, any ideas what to do with it? Any good recipes to use it up? How long will it keep in the fridge?

Enjoy the sun.............we're sitting in with the aircon on watching the Tour de France!

Ps have passed the recipe on to anyone who'll listen, French neighbours included!

Forgot to say, not sure what sambal oelek is. Can you buy it in France?

Tubs, magic mayo

If I have any left a good way to use is the Cucumber Circle recipe on my profile, just add it into the rice and it really tastes lovely. Great as a little individual starter if you have people round.
Sambal oelek is available in France, in fact I only ever saw it there for quite a while. it is just minced chillies. the very first I bought from Leader Price, but they also do it in SuperU if you have one of those close by . look for a quite small jar usually with a red lid in the "foreign" section.
I would probably say it is best eaten in a couple of days as it contains fresh egg and no preservatives.
bon appetit !

Magic Mayo ~ for Tubs

Dottie May has just sent me a great link for Hellemans which has some great recipes for your left over Magic Mayo. Can't post it on here but if you google it you should be able to find it easy enough. Hope you're having the FAB weather we are here.

Fao Yummy

Sorry Yummy have only just seen this. Thank you for the link and suggestions. We have been here nearly three months and the weather has been brilliant, consistently 30 degrees plus every day. Not looking forward to going back to UK mid September when it will be chilly and the nights will be drawing in........best not think about that yet!

;o) Tubs, I have it on good authority that October is going to be our best month (whatever that means).
