Is anyone on here going to Delia's Special Lunch on Friday 19 April at Norwich Football Club? Not on my list I'm afraid but hope it is a successful event.

Delia's Lunch

Not this time but I know a few people from here have been to one in the past. Would love to go one day!

First I'd heard of it. If Thomasina is available and there are tickets, we'll go and would be really nice to meet others face to face. People you 'know' on forums are seldom much like the person, when you finally meet them in real life. Great fun...and sometimes a bit of a surprise!

Lunch with Delia

At £95 per head, no thank you....that is almost twice as much as Iain Duncan Smith reckons you can realistically live on for a week ( i.e.£53).
He doesn't live in the real world either :(

Yummy, not sure it's a fair comparison.

The Waterside Inn offer a midweek three course luncheon at just shy of £60. Across the road, Heston is charging £195 pp -- but that is his 'tasting menu' I cannot see the regular table d'h&"244;te on their website (which doesn't run properly on my XP machine so maybe it's there?).

We have eaten at the Waterside Inn and the food, service and ambiance are, not surprisingly, truly outstanding and I recommend it without any hesitation for tastes more conventional - non-kinky nouveaux cuisine would be my description. The Queen Prince Philip are said to drop in...but there is a private dining room on the first floor so one is unlikely to be sharing the melba toast with Her Maj!

So £95 pp is quite dear for Delia's bash.

Sadly we cannot make it this time, I was hoping to meet a few friendly faces but is not to be :((

Best wishes to all who are going and hope you have a really smashing day! I'd love to hear what it was like.
