Not yet, I have the recipe printed out & it is sat on the counter, & the ingredients all in a box ready - unfortunately best laid plans went awry - def making them this weekend though so will report back thereafter...!

Glad I tried, & they taste ok.

But: If I make them again, I will avoid trying to make them a lovely pale lilac colour because paste colouring doesn't blend properly (although I have some ideas about that) & OH & son both said 'Why are they purple?' Also, when they cooked through, some went kind of beige while others stayed lilac (no idea why - oven temp maybe?) I won't bother using lavender sugar next time cos you just can't taste it. And against better judgement I used greaseproof paper like recipe said (I was inclined to use parchment & I should have) & the little buggers stuck. And finally, not absolutley sure that they are worth all the effort & mess that they made ... :-/
