Freezing a cooked joint of beef

I got a lovely piece of beef out of the freezer for Monday's roast but as the girls were out and we were decorating we decided against the roast for dinner. I know I can freeze it sliced in gravy, but was wondering if I can slow roast it and freeze it whole? Whaddya think?

Yes, I don't see why not, it would just take longer to defrost but other than that I can't see a problem. I would go for it!

Frozen Slow Roast Beef

It shouldn't be a problem Saffy. I've got a partial lump of pot-roasted beef in the freezer at the moment for turning into a quick roast dinner with all the trimmings.

Thanks ladies. Beef is cooking on a low heat now, so once cooled I'll wrap in foil and put it back in the freezer.
