Munich

We were in Munich recently, only my second visit to Germany. I was really impressed with the city and the restaurants we ate in, we had some really fab food. We were recommended an Italian restaurant, where Hitler used to meet Mussolini, the food was sensational, we felt like we were in Italy (two countries in one weekend!).

We are thinking of a long weekend in Berlin next - has anyone been?

Munich.

Yes, Knorr. I've been to both Berlin and Munich.

Both great places. Funnily enough, I ate in a really good Italian in Berlin!

You will have a great time.

Munich - Berlin

Must be honest and say that I know Munich much better than Berlin. I love Munich, a series of villages brought together by the Olympic dream. Perhaps it's because I worked in Munich for a while and just got my luggage 'lost' by the airport authorites in Berlin, not a happy time for me; luggage was the problem. However, I still have very happy memories of my my time in Munich and in Berlin (despite the time it took for a taxi to arrive) and the cost because it was after 10:00 p.m Ho Hummmmmm, the costs of travelling xxx

So how was it Noreen? Did you go?

Hello there Biggles, good to hear from you! How are the hens and the very small ants?

I was surprised that your rosemary died from cold, how cold did it get in your part of France?

HI Chazza - we haven't been. It was our intention to go for a weekend in September, but we've decided to have a week in the sunshine in November instead. It will deffo be our next European city break though
